Man left critically injured near south Fort Worth sparks search for suspected driver

The driver of a black four-door passenger car with dark tinted windows has become the subject of a search by Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies.
The driver is a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that left a man critically injured in the city of Edgecliff Village, near south Fort Worth, according to a news release from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department.
The man was hit about 10 p.m. on March 24 while walking in the 5600 block of Village Parkway and was in the hospital Wednesday, the release said.
Investigators are looking for any information regarding the identity of the suspect.

The crash occurred near the Hemphill Street and Interstate 20 area. The vehicle likely had front bumper, hood and windshield damage due to striking the victim and may have had repair work done or the windshield replaced in the past week.
